About the Role

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspection of mobile plant on site


• Perform incidental welding operations and other mechanical repair work as required


• Perform inspections and test mechanical units


• Use of oxy/acetylene gas cutting equipment, abrasive wheel cutting


• Welding using mig and arc welding equipment


• Ability to use power and hand tools


• Must be able to work as part of a team and individually

Qualifications

• Qualified / certified welder


• Minimum 3 years’ additional experience


• Strong diagnostics capabilities and have pride in their work.


• Must be organised & self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills


• Motivated team player with a strong sense of commitment to the team


• Ability to understand and carry out instructions via written, verbal, or diagram form


• Professional demeanour and superior team service skills


• Be able to work shift work and extra hours as required to keep up with business demands


• Line boring experience would be advantageous
