Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Independent Water Injection Pump Manufacturing Inspectorto oversee the quality and compliance of high- pressure barrel pumps used in waterflood operations within the Offshore Oil & Gas industry. This role requires a deep understanding of QC processes, material traceability, and high-pressure systems to ensure compliance with API 610 / ISO 13709 (centrifugal pump standards), EN 10204 for material certification, and other applicable Oil & Gas standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in expediting deliveries, ensuring that all components arrive on schedule, and working closely with manufacturers to resolve quality issues efficiently. Preference will be given to candidates already residing in Leeds as the manufacturing facility is located there.


Key Responsibilities:

·       Conduct dimensional and functional inspections of water injection pumps at various production stages.


·       Verify compliance with engineering drawings, API 610 standards, and customerspecifications.


·       Perform material    traceability    checks,    ensuring    all    components    meet required    certifications and industry standards.


·       Monitor hydrostatic pressure tests and other high-pressure system integrity assessments.


·       Identify, document, and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs)coordinate with engineering teams for corrective actions.


·       Monitor supplier schedules and coordinate with manufacturers to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure timely delivery of critical components.


·       Interface with Manufacturer representatives or third-party inspectors, providing necessarydocumentation and demonstrating compliance.


·       Maintain detailed inspection reports and quality control records for each pump.


·       Conduct safety and regulatory compliance inspections, ensuring adherence to site HSE protocols.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

·       Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality inspection within the oil & gas or rotating equipment industryfor offshore Oil & Gas projects.


·       Strong knowledge of API 610 / ISO 13709 (centrifugal pump standards).


·       Knowledge of use of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.).


·       Experience with material certification standards, including ASTM A182 (for forged components) and EN 10204 3.1/3.2 for material traceability in pressure applications.


·       Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and pump schematics.


·       Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving quality issues proactively.


·       Excellent documentation and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and QC software.


·       Effective communication skills to liaise with manufacturers, engineers, and project teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

·       API 610 training or certification preferred, with practical experience in performance testing and vibration analysis of centrifugal pumps.


·       ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or ISO 9001 Auditor Certification.



·       Familiarity with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for material selection in sour service applications.


·       Experience working with high-pressure water injection systems and barrel pumps.


·       Background in supply chain or project expediting, ensuring timely material delivery.


·       Accuracy of inspections: Ensuring pumps pass quality control checks without defects.


·       Compliance with QC standards: No major non-conformances or audit findings.


·       On-time delivery rate: Ensuring expediting efforts result in timely project completion.


·       Documentation quality: Complete and error-free inspection reports submitted promptly.


·       Stakeholder satisfaction: Positive feedback from clients and manufacturing partners.
