Teacher of Mathematics – North Leeds

An Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school in Leeds is currently seeking a dedicated and inspiring Maths teacher to join its team. If you’re passionate about improving pupil outcomes and encouraging a love of Maths, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

About the role

This is a full-time position (although part-time may be considered for exceptional candidates), where you will be responsible for delivering well-planned, engaging Maths lessons with effective classroom management. The school is committed to nurturing a positive learning environment and developing pupils' confidence and enthusiasm for the subject.

The school is located in North Leeds, with excellent public transport links and a welcoming, community-oriented ethos. There is a strong possibility that the role will become permanent. As part of a successful national Multi-Academy Trust, the school also offers excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression.

You will be working as part of a supportive and collaborative Maths department, where teamwork and the sharing of best practice are highly valued. Staff also benefit from access to the school’s comprehensive CPD programme.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 and GCSE


• A strong record of pupil progress and achievement


• Availability for interview and lesson observation


• A proactive, engaging approach to teaching and learning
