We have an exciting M&E Technician opportunity at our Stourton Dairy in Leeds, Arla's second-largest and most complex dairy site in the UK, producing over 700 million litres of tasty and nutritious products each year.

How will you add value?

• Provide critical breakdown support across a complex 24/7 production site, including chilling systems, conveyors, and cheese processing equipment.


• Carry out planned, preventative maintenance and servicing activities as scheduled via the CMMS system.


• Troubleshoot and diagnose breakdowns using structured problem-solving techniques and drive continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiencies.


• Champion health and safety by adhering to safety standards, SOPs, and participating in risk assessments.


• Support and contribute to projects across the site, both small and large, actively influencing site development and performance.

Grow with Arla

• Experience in an FMCG, Food, or regulated manufacturing environment, working at pace in a maintenance engineer or similar role.


• Ideally, you will be a time-served/apprentice-trained engineer holding a minimum NVQ Level 3/ONC or higher.


• Structured problem solving experience, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and fault finding.


• Computer literacy – SAP PM or similar CMMS system, Microsoft Office.

Things we’d love to tell you about our Stourton site

• The site takes in 2.2 million litres of milk daily.


• Produces around 660 million litres of the nation’s favourites per year from 16 automated filling lines.


• Producing over 225 SKU within 10 different product groups such as Cravendale & BOB filtered milk, flavored milk, creams, alcohol cream, custards, and cottage cheese supplied from Stourton.


• The site has received approximately £315 million in investment since 2004, with a further major investment of about £50 million soon to begin.
