WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

Our Investment Accounting & Operations team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our investment services. We manage and oversee a wide range of investment reporting responsibilities, making sure everything's accurate and compliant. Our team collaborates with various departments within the Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) division to streamline investment operations and improve efficiency. We're all about automating processes to make things run smoother and faster. Plus, we provide excellent customer service, resolving inquiries quickly and effectively.


As a competent accountant or with experience in investment accounting and reporting you will be pivotal in our role to oversee and report on over £160bn of assets. In essence, you'll be:


  • Producing monthly and quarterly analytical review for a wide-range of investments held on the IP&I Balance Sheet.
  • Supporting the Solvency UK and Solvency II reporting of the IP&I business.
  • Analysing financial data and market trends to support with decision-making.
  • Automating and streamlining processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to resolve enquiries efficiently.
  • Overseeing third party investment accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

What you'll need:

We'll be looking for a competent accountant or relevant experience within investment accounting and reporting, alongside experience in:

  • Competency in automation toolsets including Microsoft Office 365 tools such as Power BI.
  • Working as a team
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Proficiency in automating and streamlining processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
