What you will be doing...
As our new Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll have a major impact on helping us achieve our goal. You’ll play a crucial role in enabling the Jet2 to deploy and manage our AWS cloud infrastructure efficiently and securely. You’ll help bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring that infrastructure changes are treated as code and easily maintainable across the entire application lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing:
Cloud Infrastructure Design: You'll work with development teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and design secure, scalable, reliable and cost-effective architecture following well architected frameworks
Infrastructure-as-Code: Use Terraform to define, manage, and provision cloud infrastructure through configuration files and state management operations.
CI/CD Integration: Incorporate Terraform into CI/CD pipelines for consistent infrastructure using Azure DevOps
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the health and performance of our cloud assets and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during or after the provisioning process. Familiarity with setting up logging and monitoring solutions within AWS and other 3rd party tooling would be essential.
Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for security and compliance in your architectural designs and infrastructure code, ensuring that the deployed resources adhere to company policies and industry standards. Provide guidance to development teams where required to ensure security is our number 1 priority.
What you’ll have:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Knowledge: Strong understanding of AWS services, including but not limited to VPC configuration, EC2, RDS, Route 53, DynamoDB, EKS, Advanced Networking such as Transit Gateway, Firewalls and routing.
Collaborative Skills: Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers.
Cloud Architecture and Design: You’ll have the ability to architect scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions on Azure using Terraform. Understanding best practices for resource organization, tagging, and naming conventions.
Networking and Connectivity: You’ll have an understanding of networking concepts and configuring virtual networks, subnets, and firewall rules using Terraform.
Desirable Certifications:
Certifications that may be relevant to your resource profile include the AWS Solution Architect, SysOps, DevOps Associate or any professional level certifications. Also, HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate would be desirable.
