About You

As a Tech Principal at AND Digital you’ll act as the most senior technical subject matter expert working across a Club’s portfolio of clients, in multi-skilled agile delivery teams. As a result, you will need to be able to:

• Use your expert tech knowledge to influence & steer the direction of projects whilst coaching and upskilling a team through implementing engineering & architectural best practices.
• Be hands-on with development teams, understand what great code looks like and see the bigger picture, taking into account architecture and applying a DevOps mindset.
• Help clients to translate project outcomes & high-level architectures into deliverable solutions.
• Build and nourish a technical community amongst your peers and colleagues, developing specialisms and building the Club’s technical capabilities.
• Communicate, influence and guide senior client stakeholders (up to c-suite) using your experience and strong communication skills.
• Support early stage client engagements and new sales processes, being comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty whilst inspiring confidence in those around you.
• Be an active contributor to the operational running of the Club, lending a technical lens to activities.

To do that, it’s essential you bring the following:

• Software engineering experience across the stack including familiarity with both modern front-end frameworks and backend technologies. Full stack JavaScript or Java essential.
• Understanding of the application of standard architectural practices & tooling.
• Experience of translating business requirements & capabilities into architectures at all levels of detail utilising standard architectural patterns where appropriate.
• Experience of working with & defining usage of common cloud platforms.
• Excellent communication & people skills with the ability to lead those around you.
