Description

Position at Resolver

Leeds/Hybrid.

Role Summary:

The Senior HR Business Partner is a hands-on and strategic partner who works closely with senior business leaders to ensure the people strategy is effectively implemented across multiple jurisdictions. With a primary focus on the UK, this role requires a deep understanding of UK employment legislation and compliance. The role also has oversight for the US, Mexico, and the Philippines, and supports the business with HR policy guidance, employee relations, and governance.

As the lead HR person for this entity, this role will focus on providing practical, operational HR support while ensuring adherence to UK legal frameworks and supporting the broader business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Business Partnering:

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to business leaders, offering both high-level HR strategy and practical, hands-on support for the UK and regional entities.
  • Advise and guide leadership teams on the implementation of people strategies, with a focus on talent management, employee engagement, and performance management.
  • Lead organisational changes and workforce planning efforts to ensure alignment with business goals and legal requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on UK employment law, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Centres of Excellence to implement key HR programs, including talent reviews, succession planning, and employee engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to align recruitment efforts with business needs and workforce planning.
  • Offer practical HR support across employee relations matters such as disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.

Policy and Governance:

  • Provide governance and oversight for the application of HR policies across the UK and other regions, ensuring legal compliance, consistency, and fairness.
  • Offer expert advice on complex employee relations cases, ensuring alignment with UK employment law and Kroll’s global policies.
  • Support business leaders in managing UK-specific HR issues, including redundancies, restructures, and TUPE transfers, ensuring compliance and smooth execution.
  • Work closely with legal and regional HR teams to ensure policies and processes are compliant with local employment laws in the US, Mexico, and the Philippines.

Trauma-Related Psychological Support Services:

  • Oversee and manage relationships with third-party service providers to deliver specialised psychological services for employees exposed to highly emotionally challenging and egregious content.
  • Coordinate the delivery of a multifaceted trauma-related support service, consisting of three key elements: preventative foundations, training, and personalised therapeutic support.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure the delivery of clinically grounded, bespoke support services that align with employee needs, organisational goals, as well as legal, confidentiality and privacy standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these programs, adjusting services and resources to ensure they meet evolving employee needs and compliance requirements.

Talent Cycles (Performance, Pay & Reward):

  • Lead the annual performance management process, overseeing the performance calibration process to ensure consistency and fairness in ratings across the business.
  • Manage the annual pay and reward cycles, ensuring alignment with performance outcomes, market competitiveness, and internal equity.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to provide guidance and support in linking performance outcomes to pay and reward decisions.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence to ensure the annual performance review process is seamless and drives business goals.

Regional HR Oversight:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior HR matters across the UK, providing advice and support on various HR issues.
  • Manage employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with UK law and coordinating with regional HR teams in the US, Mexico, and the Philippines as needed.

Skills & Experience:

  • Senior HRBP Experience: Extensive experience operating at the Senior HRBP level, with a proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and drive HR strategy in a practical and impactful way.
  • UK Employment Law Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, including TUPE, redundancies, and complex employee relations cases.
  • Standalone HR Experience: Experience in a more standalone HR role, where you were the lead HR person, would be advantageous.
  • Strategic HR and Policy Application: Experience advising on HR policy and governance, ensuring compliance and operational delivery aligned with business goals.
  • People Management & Employee Relations: Ability to support business leaders in managing complex people issues, from performance and absence to grievances and disciplinary matters.
  • Performance and Reward Management: Experience managing performance cycles, pay, and reward decisions, and conducting performance calibration to ensure consistency and fairness.
  • Business Acumen: A strong understanding of how HR aligns with business goals, with a commercial mindset and a data-driven approach to people decisions.
  • Collaborative Approach: Experience working in collaboration with other HR teams, including Centres of Excellence, legal teams, and business leaders.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Global or Regional Roles: Experience supporting regions such as the US, Mexico, or the Philippines is an advantage.
  • Experience in Agile Environments: Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to evolving business needs, especially in fast-paced or growing environments.
  • Experience with Hybrid and Distributed Teams: Experience supporting hybrid or globally distributed teams is highly beneficial.
  • Experience Managing Psychological Support Services: Experience managing and overseeing trauma-related psychological services, including the development and delivery of support programs across multiple tiers of service would be an asset.
