  Salary: Circa £75,000 plus car and bonus

Previous job titles may include: Regional Manager – Waste Processing, National Operations Manager, Regional Director, Area Manager, General Manager, Area MRF Manager, Waste Operations Manager, Depot Manager, Regional Engineering Manager.

Relevant experience includes work in: Aggregates Recycling, Total Waste Management, WEEE, Energy from Waste, Clinical Waste, Glass Recycling, Hazardous Waste, Metal Recycling, General Waste, MRF, MBT, SRF, RDF, EfW Incineration, Commercial Waste, Biomass, Plastics Recycling.

• Implement the board’s national waste processing strategy and maximize throughput.


• Ensure the successful delivery of services on a national level.


• Drive improvements in profitability and efficiency.


• Collaborate closely with the compliance team.


• Promote strong employee engagement across a multifunctional team.

Proven experience as a National Operations Manager in waste management, responsible for waste processing operations at a multi-site or national level. Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and improving service delivery. Examples of driving employee engagement are essential.

Preferred qualifications (non-essential): IOSH, NEBOSH, COTC/WAMITAB, IEMA, ILM, MBA, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Management, Financial, Six Sigma, Kanban, 5S, 5 Whys, TPS, Kaizen, or other Lean/Continuous Improvement training.
