Are you a seasoned property underwriter looking to shape the future of specialist insurance?

We're looking for a Technical Manager - Property to join our growing underwriting team. In this role, you'll lead the development and management of our Property portfolio, drive profitable growth, and help steer product innovation.

This role can be based in Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead and manage the development and profitability of the Property portfolio

• Support underwriting teams across UK Retail and International markets

• Handle complex referrals and offer expert technical guidance

• Partner with sales and marketing teams on product launches and broker engagement

• Drive technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the underwriting team

• Analyse new scheme or facility opportunities and contribute to go-to-market decisions

• Represent the business in market activities and strategic broker discussions

What we're looking for:

• Proven expertise in underwriting UK property insurance

• Strong technical knowledge of property cover and market dynamics

• Demonstrable success in building profitable portfolios

• Understanding of UK regulatory requirements for underwriting and distribution

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Experience working across functions including actuarial, sales, and marketing
