About the role
Reporting to the Lead BI Developer, the Junior BI Analyst is responsible for supporting the transformation of data into actionable insights that support data-driven strategic decision-making. The Junior BI Analyst will work closely with the Lead BI Developer and other members of the BI team, utilising BI technologies to provide analytical support on business requirements and solutions that improve business performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Lead BI Developer by providing analytical support and assistance in the development and implementation of BI solutions that meet business requirements
- Query and analyse business data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for growth or optimisation, particularly across the sales function
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and visualisations to track business KPIs, delivering clear insights and reducing manual reporting efforts
- Collaborate with BI developers and data scientists to translate requirements and KPIs into BI solutions that provide insights and commercial benefits
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to maintain and enhance data pipelines and systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of data across the business
- Handle and assess ad-hoc data and reporting requests, with a focus on identifying opportunities to improve and automate processes where possible
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business intelligence, computer science or a related field
- Previous experience in a BI or analyst role in a sales environment or similar preferred
- Proficiency in BI tools (such as QlikSense or PowerBI), SQL and Microsoft Excel. Basic understanding of data warehousing
- Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Proven ability to work both as part of a bigger team and individually
- Ability to multitask and prioritise
