The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon is essential to our operations, responsible for maintaining vital machinery to ensure continuous operation. As an RME Technician, you will maintain a variety of equipment and workspaces while adhering to Health and Safety standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring colleague safety, minimizing machine downtime, and enhancing equipment availability and quality.


Key job responsibilities

  1. Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on a wide range of site equipment.

  2. Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis within a live distribution warehouse environment.

  3. Utilize the latest tools to optimize equipment effectiveness.

  4. Maintain compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.

  5. Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices.

  6. Participate in continuous improvement projects and implement best practices across EU sites.


A day in the life

Our RME Technicians are based on-site to respond swiftly to machinery issues. You will conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and respond promptly to breakdowns by investigating and implementing solutions. You will also contribute suggestions for long-term improvements.


Working alongside senior colleagues, you will perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing, liaising with external contractors when necessary. You will work on various shifts to provide 24/7 support, ensuring Amazon's operational excellence.

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering team maintains optimal equipment performance. Our team is technically skilled, collaborative, and guided by experienced leaders. We troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across Amazon’s global fulfillment centers, working with advanced technologies like Amazon Robotics and automated systems.
