Speech and Language Teaching Assistant Location: Primary School near Hunslet, Leeds Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Permanent/Contract Opportunities Available) Pay Rate: From £100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children’s communication and development? PK Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive 2-form entry primary school near Hunslet to recruit a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant (TA).

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, with potential for a permanent or contracted position for the right candidate.

The Role:

You’ll support pupils across Key Stage 1, delivering targeted speech and language interventions predominantly on a 1:1 basis, with plans and guidance provided by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist.

The school has a high percentage of SEND and EAL pupils, so experience in these areas will be highly beneficial.

• Mornings: General TA support in a Year 4 classroom, assisting with lessons, behaviour support, and group work.
• Afternoons: Focused delivery of speech and language interventions to KS1 pupils.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience delivering Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) interventions (highly advantageous)
• Previous experience supporting SEND and/or EAL pupils
• Ability to work independently while following structured intervention plans
• A calm, nurturing, and proactive approach to pupil support
• Previous primary school or educational experience preferred
