Ready to make a real difference in a Leeds school?Randstad Education are seeking enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a wide range of special educational needs (SEN) in primary schools based in the LS2 area of Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children, working alongside dedicated teachers and support staff in a welcoming and inclusive environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality, one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assisting class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Supporting students with their emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
  • Communicating effectively with class teachers, support staff, and parents/carers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress.
  • Contributing to a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school.
  • A strong understanding of various SEN needs and appropriate support strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (e.g., Team Teach).
  • Experience supporting specific SEN needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia).
  • Experience working with pupils across a range of age groups (Primary and/or Secondary).
