This is a Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead role. The client is open to candidates from various programming backgrounds, but the primary language used will be Go. Candidates should be willing to work with Go and learn on the job.
They are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and talented Senior Golang Software Engineer to lead technical development and feature delivery.
This role is hybrid, requiring presence in the central Leeds office two days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead software development within their Golang applications
- Design and plan feature development
- Collaborate with senior management to provide technical guidance
- Organize and support the development of other engineers
Technology Stack:
Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, TypeScript, Node.js, C# - .NET Core, Golang, Python, R, Jupyter, Azure DataBricks, Postgres (and Timescale), Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Dapr, React, Redux, React-Router, Styled-Components, Express, TRPC, GraphQL, MQTT.
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
- Golang, Azure or AWS
- Git
- Modern databases such as Postgres, MongoDB, or Cassandra
- Unit testing and willingness to extend skills in this area
