They are currently looking for aCredit Controller to join their friendly and professional team. This is a vital role that supports the financial stability of our organisation, working closely with tenants to manage rental and non-rental payments with empathy, efficiency, and fairness.
Key Responsibilities for Credit Controller
- Monitor and manage rent and non-rent arrears
- Communicate proactively with tenants regarding payments and arrears
- Negotiate realistic payment plans where needed
- Maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Collaborate with departments such as Lettings, Accounts, and Maintenance
- Ensure all activity is compliant with relevant legislation
- Educate tenants on budgeting and financial management
- Provide clear, timely updates to management through reporting
Essential
- Experienced in credit control, property management, or financial services (2+ years preferred)
- Organised, reliable, and meticulous with your records
- A natural communicator with strong negotiation skills
- Empathetic and solution-focused, even in challenging conversations
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Confident using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets
