Finance Director

Location: Leeds

Salary: £70,000 – £90,000

We are currently supporting a leading manufacturing and distribution business in Leeds in the search for an experienced Finance Director to join their senior leadership team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys working closely with operational and commercial teams to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all financial operations, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.


• Provide strategic financial insight and guidance to the Board and senior management.


• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls.


• Partner with operations and commercial teams to support growth, margin improvement, and cost efficiency initiatives.


• Lead and develop a small finance team, ensuring a strong culture of accountability and high performance.


• Oversee compliance, statutory accounts, and liaison with auditors.

About You:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).


• Strong experience in a Finance Director or senior financial leadership role.


• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or a related sector.


• Commercially astute, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business actions.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


• Comfortable working in a dynamic, growing, and hands-on environment.
