About the Role

The Application Analyst will work as a key member of the team responsible for configuration and integration of software products adopted by the company, while developing their own skills for further advancement.

The person performing the role will configure, test and document modules conforming to analysis and design specification in accordance with company policies and procedures. They will also design or specify and develop database programming and design, develop or specify and release or consume APIs between other Maples’ systems.

In addition, they will respond to assigned enhancement and bug fix requests; troubleshoot, develop/configure, test, and document as necessary in accordance with existing procedures. They will work under deadlines, contribute towards projects, communicate, and operate effectively in a team environment.

The responsibilities for the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Be an active participant in the Agile process and contribute to SCRUM ceremonies
  • Install, update, maintain, document and configure products at an administrator level to support business activity
  • Create or specify and maintain custom interfaces between different internal and external systems. Where applicable, by writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Collaborate with your team to define and estimate tasks to satisfy the business's requirements
  • Manage vendor relationship relating to product and problem management
  • Research and present to the team on new product features, latest / emerging technology and identify opportunities for business application
  • Investigate and provide solutions to errors reported with existing systems
  • Communicate concisely, effectively and clearly about technical subjects
  • Be approachable and friendly
  • Travel as necessary to work with globally distributed teams
  • Monitor system performance and to proactively identify and resolve risks and issues

 EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferable in a STEM discipline plus minimum of 3 years of experience working in a technical role
  • Experience of development and/or specification of system integrations.
  • An understanding of SQL databases and the ability to query data from them
  • An understanding of API Integrations
  • An understanding of Object-Oriented practices and principles and an awareness of programming techniques such as Design Patterns
  • Experience of working with Cloud based and on-premises third-party products
  • Skills in technical and business stakeholder engagement, explaining complex topics in a way that can be easily understood
  • Experience of the Legal or Professional Services domain
  • An understanding of modern development practices such as Agile, Continuous Integration, Source Control, Unit Testing and Test Driven Development
  • Technical hands–on and problem solving experience
  • Understanding of data protection regulation and experience of effective management of sensitive information
  • Experience in migrating on premise document management systems into the cloud
