About the job
This role involves planning, coordinating, mentoring, and supporting training and assessment for apprentices in teaching-related programs, such as Teaching Assistant Level 3, Specialist Teaching Assistant Level 5, and Operations Management Level 5. The role includes sharing knowledge and experience from the school sector to ensure apprentices achieve their qualifications efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess skills through reviews, identify gaps, and develop tailored training plans.
- Maintain records, undertake workplace observations, and support high-quality training delivery.
- Assess skills and behaviors, providing feedback via the ePortfolio system.
- Support training in knowledge, skills, and behaviors, including English and Maths.
- Provide tutorial support on topics such as Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent, mental health, and online safety.
- Deliver online classroom sessions, promote key topics, and support apprentices through the end-point assessment process.
- Monitor progress, support portfolio completion, and coordinate reviews and appraisals.
- Manage documentation related to onboarding, progress, and assessments.
- Support equality, diversity, and safeguarding initiatives.

Essential criteria include:
- Level 5 qualification or 2+ years’ experience as a teacher or Teaching Assistant.
- Up-to-date industry knowledge.
- Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications.
- Experience working with employers in training or customer relations roles.
- Strong IT skills and willingness to work with e-portfolios.
- Ability to motivate learners and ensure timely completion.
- Full driving license, own vehicle, and willingness to travel.
Desirable criteria include:
- Assessing or teaching qualification.
- Relevant degree.
- IV/IQA qualification.
- Experience in schools or similar environments.
