Purpose of the Role

This exciting hybrid opportunity has arisen to join a growing Finance team in Leeds, where you will lead a team of Bank Reconciliation Analysts, ensuring financial transactions relating to insurance broking are managed and recorded and reconciled correctly.

What You Will Do

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following:

  • Manage your teams’ workloads ensuring SLA’s and KPIs are designed, implemented and achieved, ensuring the financial transactions of our business and our Members’ businesses are reconciled in line with agreed timescales and FCA guidelines
  • The face of the Bank Reconciliation team, you will be responsible for the technical excellence of the team, ensuring that we provide a high level of service to our internal business units and external Members
  • Provide and drive Root Cause Analysis of timing differences to improve future operating practices across the Group.
  • Build great relationships with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels; ensuring we support each other to maximise our contribution towards each other, our Members, and the Business
  • Provide development support, management of escalations, direction and relevant coaching to the Bank Reconciliation Team
  • Provide insight and support to MI teams to help ensure high quality information is delivered to key internal and external business users
  • Supporting the future evolution of our department and wider Business by contributing your ideas and knowledge within our continuous improvement & change initiatives

Qualifications And Experience

  • Reconciliation, Finance or Banking background with experience of bank reconciliation processes, ideally in an insurance environment
  • People management experience is essential
  • Leadership experience essential – this could be on a project or as a senior member of a team.
  • Strong MS Office skills.

Most crucially for any applicant is your communication skills across all mediums, ability to use analytical and investigative skills to solve problems and respond positively to change. You will need to have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail whilst being adaptable to changing environments and priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
