Pay/Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum

The Role:

• Supporting a range of learners with a variety of complex learning, medical and physical needs.
• Working alongside the class teacher, support staff and external agencies to help create a safe, accessible and nurturing learning environment for all students.
• Assisting with medical support, moving and handling duties, and external apportionments/session such as physio and hydrotherapy.
• Supporting on a 1:1 basis and across the classroom across lessons, sensory sessions, play activities and break times.
• Ensure cleanliness and operations of the classroom and learning environment are kept up to the appropriate standard.
• Supporting a range of different aged students with personal care, toilet support and hygiene care.

The Ideal Applicant:

• Previous experience supporting children and/or adults with varying complex learning, physical and medical needs and requirements.
• Comfortable supporting and assisting with personal care and hygiene support, from younger to older age groups.
• Open and willing to complete additional training for specific care-based support tasks, such as feeding, moving and handling, medication administration and more.
• Help promote a positive learning environment, to help all learners from varying backgrounds and needs access all aspects of their education.
• Energetic, reliable and committed to proving appropriate and professional educational care support.
