The Legal Delivery Centre provides innovative solutions to support the firm's high end advisory services.

The function works as an extended part of the legal team, dealing with activities that are best performed by a specialist, process-centric operation.

Legal professionals (paralegals), combined with the Legal Delivery Centre's qualified lawyers and legal technology tools, deliver a transparent service to agreed timescales, yielding very high-quality outputs.

The Legal Delivery Centre operates from offices in Germany, Leeds and across Australia. All combine to service the requirements of the international business.

We are recruiting a lawyer to support growth and development of our Electronic Data Management team within our Legal Delivery Centre in Leeds.

The Legal Delivery Centre uses streamlined processes, legal technical knowhow, and cutting-edge technology to design and deliver routine or document-heavy legal services quickly and efficiently. Operating from locations in Australia, UK and the Netherlands the Legal Delivery Centre primarily allocates activity to a team of Paralegals with qualified lawyers used to support service delivery.

The Electronic Data Management team is one of a number of functions within the Legal Delivery Centre. It supports the groups by undertaking document review activity primarily using our inhouse instance of RelativityOne. Reviews will generally form part of a larger engagement, often involving litigation, regulatory investigation or other form of document production request. As Team Manager you will work closely with instructing lawyers and clients to plan, organise and manage the review

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Overseeing day to day activity in the Legal Delivery Centre’s Electronic Data Management team.
  • Supporting (and supplementing) the work of the Paralegals in delivering a very high quality service;
  • Ensuring the team delivers to internal and external client requirements
  • Managing the expectations of those providing the instructions, including tracking progress, anticipating and highlighting resourcing issues and ensuring we provide sufficient and timely updates;
  • Line Management responsibility for the team;
  • Acting as the initial point of contact in connection with any issues and escalating as necessary;
  • Ensuring standard ways of working are adhered to;
  • Ensuring robust checks and quality controls are in place;
  • Identifying training needs and providing coaching to ensure the team are able to meet expectations;
  • Ensuring work is properly staffed;
  • Ensuring the playbooks are comprehensive and kept up to date;
  • Assessing opportunities to improve operational processes, documentation and training;
  • Conducting performance reviews in accordance with line management responsibility.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor (preferably England & Wales)
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience connected to disclosure and document production activity, ideally with experience of working with Relativity.
  • Able to manage and work well with people at all levels;
  • Highly organised;
  • Clear and effective communicator;
  • Highly professional, with a dedication to exceeding expectations.
