As a Design Manager based in Leeds, you’ll you will be responsible for overseeing all design-related activities within the business, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market trends. 


Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.


Salary – £35,000 - £40,000


Closing Date – Monday 26th May


What you’ll be doing


Your role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the company's design strategy and execution. Reporting to the Head of Product & Sourcing, your day-to-day will include:



  • Brief all product changes into the fusion catalogue launch timings.

  • Defining business requirements for product developments, such as the integration of new systems/technical product changes and sign off on how changes are implemented post-development.

  • Oversee the creative direction and visual representation of products, ensuring product aesthetics, themes, and designs are cohesive.

  • Conduct functional (light touch) testing per launch window to ensure product quality and design requirements are met.

  • Create and deliver regular trend reports for Nobia UK, utilising external market resources to identify product & market trends.

  • Collaborate and guide the product teams to create a visually compelling and consistent identity for our kitchen products. Ensure that the visual language aligns with market trends and customer preferences. Inputting into the product development process with design briefs where necessary.

  • Ensure that the product range is conveyed well and effectively across imagery & marketing collateral (all channels) working with the category teams. Support tools such as style finder on the consumer website.

  • Assist in the development and execution of the CGI strategy, working with marketing to ensure the product range is accurately represented across all product categories, emphasising design excellence and quality.

  • Collaborate with external agencies or internal teams to ensure CGI and visual content reflect the latest product updates and product strategy.

  • Coordinate the design and delivery of the product expo for the annual stores conference, ensuring the display is engaging, on-brand, and effectively showcases the Magnet offer.

  • Work with store development with new store openings. Maintaining the product mix matrices, alongside the product & category teams whilst inputting into design layouts.


What you’ll bring to the team


To succeed in this role, you’ll need:



  • CAD experience required-including Sketch Up and Fusion

  • Design / Product Experience in a manufacturing / retail business

  • Experience managing multiple design projects from concept to completion.

  • Ability to work towards timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • To be comfortable with changing priorities, technologies, or organizational structures.
