Group Finance Manager / Financial Controller

Location: Leeds

Salary: £70,000 – £85,000

We are working exclusively with a leading manufacturing and distribution business in Leeds, seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager or Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys a varied, commercially focused role and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.


• Support the Board and senior leadership with commercial insight and financial reporting.


• Drive improvements across financial processes, systems, and controls.


• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to support growth, margin enhancement, and cost-saving initiatives.


• Manage and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


• Ensure accurate statutory reporting, compliance, and audit liaison.

About You:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).


• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Group Finance Manager, or in a senior financial role within an SME or group environment.


• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or similar sectors.


• Commercially focused, with the ability to influence business decisions through financial insight.


• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.


• Comfortable in a hands-on, dynamic environment with a growing business.
