Our client is a leading brand and one of the most recognisable names in Leeds City Centre. Having grown significantly over the last few years they now have a new role of Purchase Ledger Controller that they have created due to the growth of the team and the business.


Responsibilities include:



  • Overall accountability for the Accounts Payable function, with the possibility of overseeing a direct report if/when volumes necessitate it.


  • Precise and timely processing of invoices, approved in line with the group's Delegation of Authority (DoA).


  • Preparation of payment runs.


  • Efficient and prompt handling of invoice queries.


  • Accurate allocation of manual postings and payments.


  • Regular reconciliation of supplier statements and swift resolution of discrepancies.


  • Management of the aged payables ledger, including monthly reconciliation with the general ledger.


  • Maintenance of supplier information.


  • Continuous review and governance of the AP function to ensure strong AP controls.


  • Coordination with internal stakeholders and external suppliers as necessary.


  • Support for the Accounts Payable function during the year-end audit.


  • Participation in other ad hoc areas/projects as requested.


  • Other reasonable duties or attendance at meetings as required.
