Our team in Leeds, West Yorkshire are currently recruiting for the role of Product Manager. This is a role where you will proactively manage our global portfolio of Circuit Protection Products. A role where you can use your knowledge and understanding of the world of electronic components and can be proactive in a company where teamwork is essential in working together for the greater good!
As the lead for this segment, you will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, reviewing product portfolios, marketing and product training, in short the end to end process of adding products into our online portfolio for this product segment. You will also look after the overall profit and loss, managing new product introductions, existing products and slow-moving inventory.
We are looking for someone passionate about this product range, who can work to ensure our pricing and marketing is on point and using data analytics, work collaboratively with internal teams such as ecommerce to ensure our product are in the best saleable position that they can be.
No two days are ever the same, there are always challenges and new solutions to find, if technology and supporting future designs, and ever changing market trends or IOT is something you have an interest in, this could be the role for you.

- Accountable for creating and driving the overall product strategy to achieve the defined sales, margin, asset management and market share KPI’s
- Managing the portfolio of products throughout their life cycle – specifically new technology and franchise negotiations and introductions, product range extensions, inventory depth decisions and exiting end of life products
- Managing the full relationship and business development plans (including review meetings and industry events) within the product business unit to help achieved the defined KPI’s/commercial terms. Potential to lead the strategic relationship with suppliers that sit across several business units. Accountable for the commercial and contractual supplier terms
- Accountable for both the buy and sell price aspects of the product business unit to deliver margin growth and price sustainability.
- Managing the overall inventory health : including budgets, influencing turns, line fill and provision & excess to achieve the defined KPI’s
- Partners with stakeholders to ensure all marketing programs are planned and executed on time, Product strategy is communicated and training provided to sales teams and strategic e-commerce plans developed
- Providing market insights and knowledge to influence the success of the business unit and wider company, including new suppliers, technology trends, and changes in customer demand within assigned portfolio including supplier market data.
- Working with Product Assistants responsible for predominately the administrative aspect of the business unit, this includes prioritization, workflow planning & content quality checks.
- Experience creating and executing product strategies
- Strong communication skills
- Strong commercial and business knowledge.
- Strong collaborative and relationship management skillset
- The ability to work autonomously & drive results.
- Experience in supplier management
- Strong quantitative and data management skills
- Experience managing of internal & external stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to research and understand regional and global markets
- Experience working with or in Sales and Marketing
