An established and purpose-driven organisation is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Events Manager to lead the planning and delivery of a dynamic and impactful events programme.
This is a pivotal role within the team, responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of a diverse range of events - from high-profile fundraising galas to exclusive stakeholder experiences. The ideal candidate will bring strategic thinking, precision in planning, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences that engage and inspire.
Salary: £35,000
Hours will be dependant on events but will include evenings and some weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full lifecycle of events, from concept development and planning through to delivery and post-event evaluation.
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and risk assessments to ensure smooth execution and high-quality outcomes.
Manage all logistics, including venue and supplier coordination, catering, AV requirements, health & safety compliance, and insurance coverage.
Collaborate with fundraising and communications teams to ensure each event aligns with wider organisational goals.
Cultivate and manage relationships with sponsors, key stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers.
Take responsibility for event budgeting, ensuring financial targets are achieved and resources are efficiently allocated.
Provide leadership, guidance, and on-the-ground support to junior team members and volunteers involved in event delivery.
Monitor event performance and use insights to refine processes and enhance future activities.
Represent the organisation at internal and external meetings, briefings, and events with professionalism and confidence.
Candidate Profile:
Substantial experience in a senior event management role, preferably within the charity, nonprofit, or cultural sectors.
Demonstrated success in delivering complex, high-value events with professionalism and attention to detail.
Outstanding project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and effectively under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging a variety of stakeholders - from major donors to operational teams.
Exceptionally well-organised, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering excellence.
Proactive and solutions-focused, with a flexible approach to challenges and change.
Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative mindset.
