We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a ServiceNow Manager to join our Technology Services team. As we navigate a period of significant transformation, this role will be crucial in enhancing our colleagues' experience by expanding the use of ServiceNow to drive impactful improvements across YBS.


This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home while maintaining an office presence as needed to meet business requirements.


About the role


As ServiceNow Manager, you'll oversee the delivery and development of a scalable, secure, and reliable ServiceNow Platform. Your exceptional customer service and relationship management skills will help you maintain and continuously enhance this vital technology area for the Society. You will -


  • Lead the ServiceNow team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture by continuously building and developing the team to meet current and future needs
  • Collaborate across the organization to understand and oversee the design and development of our ServiceNow Platform, ensuring it meets current and future business needs. Work with the internal ServiceNow team and third-party organisations to assess opportunities for additional deployments, and ensure the team has a clear roadmap for maintenance and future developments
  • Ensure ServiceNow best practice is maintained, maximising the platform’s value across Yorkshire Building Society is achieved
  • Oversee efficient and effective production and non-production ServiceNow services, establishing and monitoring KPIs for platform availability, performance, reliability, and efficiency
  • Provide assurance and risk management of the ServiceNow platform


About you


We’re seeking an IT Service Manager with proven experience of leading teams to provide and develop a robust service, delivering on-going improvements and benefits. Whilst in-depth technical knowledge of ServiceNow is not a necessity, having a grounding of IT Service Management practices and leading Technical teams in operational and delivery activities is critical.


What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience in both functional and technical aspects for a successful implementation, working closely with various stakeholders across multiple organisational levels
  • Strong understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principle and practices
  • Proven people management skills, including recruitment, development, coaching and mentoring
  • Experience of leading teams through change, including resource management and familiarity of project management principles and practices
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships including collaboration, communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective vendor relationships
  • Understanding of IT procurement and contract negotiation
