Are you an experienced events coordinator who has a passion for delivering high-quality events that excite and energise? Do you have exceptional communication skills? Are you super organised?
This role sits within our Corporate Affairs and Communications team supporting the delivery of a calendar of events from in house leadership meetings, to large-scale off-site conferences. You’ll also work closely with our Internal Communication team to support campaign activity that connects our brand and values to over 150,000 colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
- Event delivery: Support the delivery of an annual event calendar, including monthly virtual calls via Microsoft Teams and annual conferences for between 1,000 and 3,000 delegates using large venues such as First Direct Leeds arena and NEC.
- Event logistics: Support all event logistics including co-ordinating executive diaries for rehearsals, large scale delegate management, hotel allocations, and organising catering on site.
- Events agencies: Work with external events partners and agencies supporting on event briefs, sourcing external venues, delivery of the event, and post event evaluation.
- Event communication: Managing all invites, registration and event communication.
- Internal Communication: Supporting the wider Internal Communication and Creative teams on campaign and engagement activity.
- Responsible for raising POs, paying invoices and tracking spend.
- Project work as required.

- Events and communication experience ideally in a large-scale multifaceted organisation.
- Excellent technical skills including experience of running Town Halls and/or Teams Live for hybrid events for audiences of over 1000.
- Strong content management skills for conferences, handling PowerPoint slides (including speaker notes), and films.
- Ability to organise, plan and prioritise in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong team player and willing to get stuck in.
- Tenacity, resilience and a can do attitude.
- Solution driven and works well under pressure to solve problems.
