We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Repair Engineer to join the engineering team at our Depot in Leeds.


As a Workshop Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for repairing depot fleet assets to company and legislative standards.

Responsibilities include:


  1. Support the Workshop Service Manager in the effective running of the Depot workshop, ensuring that machines under repair KPIs are maintained at manageable levels.

  2. Undertake routine and complex repairs to machines at depot to ensure conformance with manufacturer specifications and company policies.

  3. Work with the depot team to keep the quantity and duration of machine repairs as low as possible, in line with depot KPIs.

  4. Act as an ambassador for the company, providing high standards of customer care and politeness. Relay customer queries to depot staff as needed.

  5. Accurately complete all relevant paperwork using the company’s engineering system/application.

  6. Update the system on machine status changes, such as PDI/PHI completion, repairs, or inspections.

  7. Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety standards and policies, acting as an ambassador for safety.


Ideal candidate will have/be:


  1. IPAF Operator Licence.

  2. Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

  3. Experience in completing complex engineering repairs.

  4. A mature outlook with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

  5. Understanding of excellent customer service.

  6. Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics fault finding.

  7. Ability to use basic functions of the operating system (L-Vis) relevant to the role.

  8. Ability to complete basic company administration processes.

  9. Use all equipment, tools, and PPE safely and properly.
