Cash Application Specialist

We have a new opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist to join our Credit Control team in Leeds.

The Credit Control team provides exceptional service across the UK, focusing on reducing debt and improving working capital.


We're looking for a motivated individual ready to make an impact in this newly created role as Cash Application Specialist. You'll manage remote scanning of payments, post zero pay and adjustments, research credit balances, reconcile client payments, and implement process improvements.


Reporting to the Head of Credit Control, you'll work closely with operational and finance teams.. This role is broad, challenging, and rewarding, requiring ownership, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Key duties


  • Transfer creditsto past due balances or issue refunds.


  • Manage Lockboxand remote scanning of payments.


  • Post zero pay and adjustments.


  • Research credit balances.

  • Accuratelypost and reconcileclient payments.


  • Apply incoming cash and cheques to customer accounts.


  • Reconcile revenue accounts.

  • Identify and implementprocess improvements


  • Participate in team effortsto achieve goals.

  • Experiencedwith financial software and hands-on accounts receivable.

  • Understanding ofgeneral accounting principlesand ability to follow SOPs.

  • Demonstratesintegrityand good judgement in handling confidential information.

  • Strongcommunicationskills (written and verbal) and effective follow-up.


  • Attention to detailand ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Excellentorganisationand time management skills.


  • Analyticalskills and ability to quickly understand and solve issues.


  • Intermediate skillsin Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
