**Open to PGR Students in the School of Sociology and Social Policy**
Are you committed to creating and delivering an exciting and inclusive student experience?
We are looking for a Lecturer in Sociology and Social Policy to contribute to the delivery of our thriving taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We particularly welcome applicants with a background in society, culture and media, disability studies, social policy or quantitative research methods, but we welcome applicants from all areas of expertise. You will be working with an experienced team of academic and support staff to deliver high-quality research-based pedagogy across several elements of our taught undergraduate and postgraduate programme. You will also be allocated time to contribute to pedagogic research projects within the School to enhance the student experience.
The post is a development opportunity for PGRs in the School, aiming to provide not only valuable experience in teaching and scholarship, but also the time and resources to engage in professional development and training. The post is designed to enhance employability and give PGRs in the School a valuable first opportunity to take on the responsibilities of a lectureship as the next step up into a career in HE. It is open to postgraduate researchers in the School of Sociology and Social Policy who are either close to submitting their thesis, are awaiting their viva or who have been awarded their PhD in the last 12 months.
