Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading UK manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Indirect Buyer on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of indirect categories within a complex, multi-site environment, driving commercial value and operational efficiency.

The Role:

As Indirect Buyer, you’ll be responsible for managing indirect procurement categories such as facilities management, professional services, utilities, and environmental services. You’ll work cross-functionally with stakeholders at various levels to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure the business receives best-in-class service and value.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading sourcing activities and contract negotiations across indirect spend areas

  • Developing category strategies that align with business objectives and sustainability targets

  • Building and maintaining effective supplier relationships and performance frameworks

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple UK sites to ensure procurement supports operational needs

  • Delivering measurable cost savings and driving continuous improvement

  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a commercially driven procurement professional with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in indirect procurement or category management

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environment

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • A focus on value delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement

  • Knowledge of sustainability or ESG-related procurement practices is desirable
