Role Information

At our Hair & Beauty Academies, we offer practical, real-world salon training across Levels 1 to 4, with 13 academies nationwide. As a Beauty Therapy Tutor, you will bring industry expertise to our training programs, delivering and assessing courses for apprentices, adult learners, and study participants. Flexibility is key, as working days and hours vary, with contracts from Monday to Sunday, 07:00am to 10:00pm.


DUTIES

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive teaching sessions.

  • Follow the scheme of work and EIF standards.

  • Deliver theory and practical hairdressing training.

  • Assess learners and provide feedback.

  • Manage learner records and progress digitally.

  • Integrate Maths, English, digital literacy, and personal development.

  • Participate in quality assurance activities.

  • Create a positive learning environment.

  • Engage in professional development.

  • Support learners' employability and progression.

  • Collaborate with team members for curriculum improvement.

  • Generate or utilize teaching resources.

  • Meet KPIs and complete reports.

  • Promote the ethos and culture of LCG.

  • Contribute to the salon’s commercial targets.


Other Responsibilities

Experience

Relevant industry experience as a beautician; experience in delivering and assessing apprenticeships or adult education; strong digital literacy.


Knowledge & Skills

Excellent communication, learner-focused, organized, adaptable, innovative, and committed to professional development.


Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Beauty Therapy or equivalent; recognized teaching qualification (Level 3 Award or working towards Level 5 Diploma); Assessors Award (e.g., TAQA/A1); GCSE C in Maths & English or equivalent.
