Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 to 16:30, with the expectation to support a 24 hour site, may also include weekend work

The Fulfilment team is made up of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Dispensary Assistants and Pharmacy Facility Operatives and the team currently process in excess of 100,000 items a week.

We are looking for a Fulfilment Manager who will be responsible for the day to day running of the 24 Hr operation in a safe and efficient manner. You will directly manage the team of Shift Managers, Systems Manager and the all other support roles. You need to be ready to work in a fast paced and ever-changing fulfilment environment, to manage large teams and keep calm under pressure. As with any growing company, problems are only opportunities to improve, so a positive attitude towards problems and a constant focus on finding solutions is key to be successful in this role.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Manage the day to day Fulfilment Operation - Manage the Fulfilment Team in order to deliver results in line with the allocated budget. Work with the planning team to adjust labour allocation throughout your shifts to meet and exceed plans and forecasts, with cost (CPO/CPI) and service level (SLA) as the main focal points of decision making.
  • Solve problems - Continuously looking for potential problems and make informed decision to resolve them before they become a bottleneck
  • Drive operations excellence - Challenge the status quo and make and implement constructive suggestions on how to improve internal processes and cut through inefficiencies. Identify opportunities of improvements, roll out and lead on continuous improvement projects together with your team and lead assessments post launch to ensure we continue learning and improve our delivery capability
  • Be a leader - Promote best practices within the company, mentor, coach and develop your team following the P2U values
  • Ensure a safe operation - Work alongside our Clinical operations team towards minimising the risks of errors and nurture an open culture around errors. Collaborate with H&S team to create and cultivate a safe working environment by identifying safety opportunities across your work area
  • Maintain effective cross team communication - Maintain excellent communication across teams to ensure collaboration and coordination on relevant projects. Communicate project updates to key stakeholders within the Operations team and the wider business
  • Work with different stakeholders across the business - Support the P2U and LGX tech team on releases and software updates and collaborate on finding best solutions to improve processes. Build valuable relationships that you leverage to take people with you through change
  • Build a great team - Recruit, train and ensure that your team works efficiently and effectively

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in managing medium to large operations teams (+100)
  • Excellent organisation and planning - independently prioritise issues and make key decisions in order to deliver on team objectives
  • Ability to develop and coach people and build great teams
  • Capacity to adapt quickly in agile and ambiguous environment while continuously striving to be cost efficient
  • Experience in project management and/or change delivery with a fundamental understanding of different project management methods and when/how best to deploy them
  • Great communication skills - communicate eloquently and articulately without being overly verbose or talkative. Maintains this standard in all forms of verbal and written communication
  • Passion for performance - Experience hitting goals/budgets
  • Ability to accomplish more with less - resourceful, self-sufficient and inventive
  • Flexibility and adaptability skills - be able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
  • Focus on data driven decisions - being able to quickly identify the impact on team performance by processing available data, modelling labour requirements, labour cost calculations, general data analysis. Experience with BI tools is a bonus.
  • Calmness under pressure - stable performance even when under heavy pressure or stress and level headed attitude
