Role Overview:
We're looking for a friendly, proactive, and organised Office Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave for 12 months, beginning around the end of July.
In this role, you'll create a welcoming first impression of Oakland and maintain a warm and professional environment for our team and visitors alike. You'll play a key part in making our workplace feel like a great place to be, by keeping our office running smoothly, looking its best, supporting events, and coordinating meetings.
The hours stated above may require some flexibility from time to time to support some of our larger events throughout the year. This includes some evening events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Greeting visitors and clients, making them feel welcome
- Keeping our office and meeting rooms looking their best and in working order
- Managing office and kitchen supplies
- Organising team lunches, events, and travel arrangements
- Helping with calendars, emails, and general admin tasks
- Answering office phone calls
What we are looking for:
- Experience in an office environment
- Someone approachable, organised, and friendly
- An ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- A great communicator who’s happy to lend a hand wherever needed
- Comfortable using basic office tech and tools (we’ll show you the ropes!)
