Accounts Assistant - #1737970

You won't be launching rockets, changing the world, or disrupting an industry. You'll be doing something far more useful - keeping a busy finance department on track, inside a company that people say day in, day out.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, there'll be deadlines, distractions, last-minute supplier drama, and spreadsheets that don't always behave - plenty to keep you busy.

Your average day might include:

• Keeping the Purchase Ledger from turning into the Wild West
• Raising sales invoices that actually get paid
• Politely pestering customers for money (you know the way)
• Reconciling bank and credit card transactions
• Sorting out invoice queries that no one else wants to touch
• Updating spreadsheets and entering journals like it's second nature
• Helping close out month-end without any drama

They need someone who:

• Has solid accounts experience (2+ years)
• Is AAT qualified, part qualified or QBE
• Gets mildly excited by neat spreadsheets and balanced ledgers
• Can work independently but also knows when to shout for help
• Has good attention to detail and the ability to juggle

The essentials:

• Salary of up to £30k DOE
• Hours: 8.30am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday - we're flexible when needed
• 21 days holiday + BH's (increasing with length of service)
