Job Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our Data and Analytics Team on a 12 month fixed term basis to design and deliver impactful reporting and analytical solutions. You'll play a pivotal role in transforming complex system data into clear, actionable intelligence, empowering teams across the business with self-service reporting tools and integrated insights.

If you have experience in building cutting edge Power BI reports and/or experience of delivering actionable insights, together with hands on skills with TSQL, Python and Power Query and are comfortable guiding stakeholders at all levels through their data journey then this could be the role for you.

Main Responsibilities

As our new Data Analyst, you will also:

* Collaborate with key stakeholders to bring analytical thinking and problem-solving to the table—helping improve how we report, analyse, and use data to drive better business decisions and measurable performance improvements.

* Act as the bridge between data preparation and analysis, playing a key role in supporting the MPS Data pillar.

* Get involved in automating reporting processes to boost efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality.

* Make sure stakeholders receive accurate, timely reports they can rely on.

* Support the rollout of our Data and Analytics strategy, and play your part in shaping and delivering the wider TDD strategy—on time, on budget, and to spec.

* Continuously develop and refine data and reporting processes so we can consistently provide the right insights to management and key committees.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for:

  • Strong understanding of data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge beyond your core expertise.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, SSMS, Sway, Power Platform, Python, and other platforms used for delivering business insights.
  • Relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience with data visualization and reporting tools to effectively present information.
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Sway, Power Platform and other platforms used for delivering business insights, along with the coding languages of T-SQL, DAX and Python
  • A good working knowledge of Azure Dev Ops and working in an agile methodology are also advantageous, as is working closely with a Data Warehouse
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Sway, Power Platform and other platforms used for delivering business insights, along with the coding languages of T-SQL, DAX and Python
