Healthcare Support Worker
Leeds Hospital | Nursing | Permanent Contract | Full Time
£24,043.50 Per Annum Depending On Experience
37.5 hours per week

As a Healthcare Support Worker at our Leeds hospital, you’ll show us you’re able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills. And if you’re qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting, that’s even better. You will need a flexible approach to both duties and hours as flexibility is key to this role. Shifts may include evenings and weekend work. Please note that phlebotomy skills are a must.

Our successful, purpose-built hospital deals with complex surgery supported by a Level 3 critical care unit covering a vast range of specialities such as: brain surgery, cardiac surgery, general surgery, orthopaedics and spinal surgery. In addition we offer a comprehensive diagnostic service including cardiology tests and interventions, diagnostic imaging – MR, CT, Mammography, Plain film and Ultrasound, fully equipped Physiotherapy department with gymnasium facilities.

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will:
- In this busy role you’ll support the team in our Pre Assessments providing care for patients undergoing major and minor surgeries.
- You must be a motivated person who enjoys a fast pace, be able to demonstrate good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Show initiative in a challenging and interesting environment.
