My client, a thriving, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Drainage and Highways Infrastructure Technician to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, in the lively Northern city of Leeds.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience within a consultancy setting
  • Proven ability to deliver a range of Civil Engineering projects, from conception through to successful delivery
  • Excellent technical skills, and a good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, WinDes MicroDrainage, etc.
  • Experience of working with flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and the relevant Section Agreements (such as S104)
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Drainage and Highways Infrastructure Technician to have the following:

  • Experience of earthworks and highway design, particularly relating to S38, and S278
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues and other stakeholders

As a Drainage and Highways Infrastructure Technician, you will be joining a growing team of dedicated engineering specialists, working on several varied, high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:

  • Preparing drawings and plans for a number of development projects, at all stages of the process
  • Producing a range of design drawings for technical approval and construction
  • Design infrastructure using AutoCAD and/or Civils 3D
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
