We require an enthusiastic and detail-driven Editorial Manager to support the management and performance of our Editorial Team (including our freelance and casual worker pool) to uphold the highest editorial standards.

You will work closely with the Senior SEO Manager to ensure that all content is optimised according to SEO best practice, briefs are adhered to and client feedback actioned promptly. The role demands a strong balance of editorial expertise, operational efficiency and a commitment to elevating content quality.

The Role

  • Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 (depending on experience)
  • Hybrid-working
  • Lead the editorial process through hands-on editing for key clients
  • Taking ownership and actioning client feedback, joining calls when required and implementing measures to ensure content always meets the expected standard
  • Working closely with the Editorial Team, spot-checking work and driving continuous improvement, whilst supporting the team to hit editorial KPIs
  • Line Management of Content Editors - conducting regular performance reviews, monitoring KPIs and delivering training, with the aim to create a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing within the team
  • Oversee editorial workflow and collaborate with various teams to ensure content aligns with briefs and performance objectives
  • Ensuring editorial priorities are clearly communicated

  • Impeccable editorial skills across niches and content types
  • A natural ability to motivate teams and drive them to reach and exceed targets
  • Able to convey constructive feedback to internal and freelance team members
  • Able to represent the editorial team in a client setting
  • Results-orientated, with the ability to reach and exceed targets
  • Able to deliver effective training and sharing knowledge with colleagues
  • Able to communicate clearly and productively across all levels
