Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment Group, focusing on manufacturing positions. We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Operative to join a furniture manufacturing business based in Leeds on a permanent basis. The role: Manufacturing OperativeAre you a Manufacturing Operative that has worked in Furniture Manufacturing and looking for a new challenge? Working Hours: Monday – Friday 6am-2.30pm Hourly Rate: £14.28ph

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble bedroom and occasional furniture according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment to construct cabinets and furniture pieces.
• Follow detailed instructions to ensure all components are accurately assembled and aligned.
• Inspect components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Identify and report any defects or issues during the assembly process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination and damage to parts.
• Set up and operate CNC and edgebanding machines to apply edging to furniture components.
• Adjust machine settings based on material specifications and work instructions.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain safety, quality and efficiency.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as an assembly operative
• Previous experience as a CNC Opertaor
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Experience reading engineering drawings
