Description

• Lead and manage the infrastructure team to ensure consistency and reliability in the company's IT systems
• Plan, implement and manage IT projects related to infrastructure
• Monitor and maintain network servers and technology tools
• Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Manage and report on allocation of IT budget
• Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement
• Collaborate with other department leaders to define the company's future IT needs and propose solutions

Profile

A successful IT Infrastructure Manager should have:

• On-prem to Azure projects
• managing 3rd party suppliers
• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication abilities

The role will be 3 days onsite at the Leeds office and 2 days working from home

Desired Skills and Experience

Planning and Design:
Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure components, including networks, production, UAT.
Ensure infrastructure is scalable and robust to meet current and future needs.

3 days onsite in Leeds and 2 days working from home.

Management and Operations:
Hardware: Management of hardware components like servers, routers, and data centres that form the backbone of the IT environment.
Network infrastructure: managing our network, including the physical and virtual networks, network security, and ensuring that data can be transmitted efficiently
Oversee our Cloud-based servers, including managing cloud service supplier, ensuring that data stored is secure, and optimised, and kept up to date.
Software infrastructure: manage the software that runs on IT systems. This includes operating systems like Microsoft Windows, applications, and other software that supports business operations.
Data storage infrastructure: set up data storage, including ensuring that data is stored securely, backed up, and can be recovered if needed.

Security:
Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure and data, such as managing pen-testing, reporting and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

Problem Solving and Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve IT infrastructure issues.
Provide technical support to end-users.
Document IT infrastructure and procedures.

Leadership:
Managing changes to the IT environment. This includes evaluating new software and hardware, implementing upgrades, and ensuring that all changes are properly documented and tested.
Lead and mentor first line support team member.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Manage IT projects and initiatives.
