At DPP Planning, we don’t just plan places - we shape them with purpose. We’re a fast-growing, independent consultancy where people come first, and commercial thinking is celebrated.

Our Leeds team is growing - fast. We’re working on some of the UK’s most exciting planning projects, from landmark student accommodation (including the tallest standalone PBSA in the world) to major university, residential and leisure schemes. We want a Principal Town Planner who’s ready to lead from the front. If you’re a confident operator with a strong planning background and a sharp commercial edge, this is your chance to drive your career forward while helping grow our presence in the region.

What’s in it for you?

High levels of autonomy - we trust you to own your projects and relationships

Work on high-profile, complex developments across multiple sectors

A genuine opportunity to help shape a growing team and regional strategy

A people-first culture grounded in balance, respect, and integrity

Clear path to progression - 7 of our current Directors started in roles just like this

We’re looking for someone who can:

Lead projects confidently and deliver great planning outcomes

Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners

Bring a commercial mindset to the table - spotting opportunities and helping to grow our business

Leverage and grow your network to raise DPP’s profile locally and regionally

Be a mentor and role model within the team

Bring broad sector experience, excellent planning knowledge, and MRTPI status

The perks:

Competitive salary + car allowance

Bonus scheme + £1,000 chartership uplift

25 days holiday + extra Christmas leave + monthly early Friday finishes

BUPA medical & dental + income protection + life assurance

Paid RTPI fees + award-winning training + networking events

Regular socials and a supportive team culture that actually walks the talk

Sound like you?

If you're ready to step up, build your profile, and play a key role in growing DPP in Leeds, we’d love to chat. See more details about the role at DPP Careers and send your CV and a cover letter to [email protected] by no later than 30th June - let’s see where this could take you.
