Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Support Technician to join the IT department of our manufacturing plant in Leeds. Scientific Games International Ltd is a subsidiary of the $1Billion pa turnover, globally renowned Scientific Games Corporation. Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art printing facility in Leeds supplies lottery scratch cards to clients in Europe.

The role will involve providing on the ground and remote IT support to our manufacturing operations, desk based office workers and remote workers across the UK, Republic of Ireland and the Channel Isles.

Duties Will Include

  • Building, configuring and upgrading desktop PCs to include operating systems and software installations
  • Maintaining and administering the Company’s printers and consumables.
  • Installing software
  • Re-setting passwords and access
  • Provide help and support for the company’s communications systems (email, telephone and mobiles)
  • Assisting users experiencing difficulties
  • Carrying out ad-hoc project work when required
  • Monitoring data backups
  • Ensuring our Help Desk ticketing system is up to date

In order to be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Adaptable approach to work
  • Willingness to gain new skills and knowledge
  • Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification in IT, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience of the following would be beneficial: email configuration, basic IT networking, Microsoft Office 365, building computers, operating systems (Windows, MAC OS, Linux), DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, helpdesk ticketing systems, VoIP telephony, group policy.
