Data Analyst - #1750338
Impactive IT

Just graduated? Or already have a few years of experience as a data professional and looking to join a team of like-minded individuals in an organisation where the strategy is clear, the career path is mapped out, and data drives every decision across the business?
Role: Data Analyst
Location: Leeds (2 days per week in office)
Salary: Up to £35,000, plus 5% bonus
Industry: Finance
Why Join?
Impactive are thrilled to continue our partnership with this truly data-led organisation in Leeds, where data isn’t a back-office function - it’s front and centre in driving meaningful change and strategic direction across the business.
They've moved beyond traditional setups, embracing modern platforms like Databricks, and creating an environment where data practitioners can thrive, grow, and make a tangible impact.
We don’t expect perfection. We hire for attitude, mindset, and curiosity - and we train for skills. That’s why we’ve created roles that allow you to grow your capabilities in a modern, forward-thinking data environment.
The Role
This isn’t your typical data analyst position. It's a hybrid, end-to-end role, and we're looking for someone who:
· Thinks like an analyst, always curious, always questioning - what data do we need, and why?
· Able to pull data themselves using tools like SQL or Python
· Communicates like a BI specialist, presenting complex findings visually and clearly to non-technical, senior stakeholders.
It’s a role for someone who enjoys the full data lifecycle - from identifying a commercial question, gathering and modelling the data, to delivering clear, visual insights that support strategic decisions.
You don’t need to tick every technical box - we’ll support you on that journey. But you do need a problem-solving mindset, a proactive approach, and a genuine passion for making data work smarter.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Work directly with business stakeholders to understand challenges and define data-driven solutions.
· Think commercially - what data do we need, why does it matter, and how can it drive decisions?
· Design and present dashboards, reports, and visual summaries for leadership and operational teams.
· Participate in a collaborative, cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and visualisation specialists.
What You’ll Bring:
We’re open-minded. If you bring some of the following, we’ll help you build the rest:
· Strong analytical thinking and a curiosity to explore beyond the obvious.
· A grounding in SQL, and ideally some exposure to Python or SAS (but not essential).
· Confidence working with data from multiple sources - structured and unstructured.
· A commercial mindset: able to connect technical work to business value.
· Interest in visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to communicate findings effectively.
Interview Process
· Stage 1: A relaxed 45-minute chat - a chance for you to meet the team, learn more about the company, and share a bit about yourself.
· Stage 2: A competency-based interview and short presentation to showcase your skills and potential.
