• Previous experience in a relevant analytical / data science role, within a Retail Credit Risk or analytics department (or equivalent in other industries).
• Excellent attention to detail and a track record of analytical capabilities using relevant software packages (i.e. SAS/SQL/VBA/Python) to analyse large amounts of data, draw conclusions and drive actions.

  • An understanding of consumer lending products, profitability and credit risk is desirable.

  • Technical knowledge of credit reference agencies and bureau data fields / reporting is desirable.

  • Knowledge of FCA regulations and experience of their application in a consumer lending environment is desirable.

• Experience of planning your own tasks and activities in line with business priorities, using a variety of analysis and problem solving techniques.
• Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
• You enjoy working collaboratively and are a clear communicator.
• You are motivated by making a positive contribution to how we support our customers and deliver for HSBC.
