Role: Platform Engineer

Location: Leeds 1x a week

Contract Length: 6 months

Rate: £700 - £750 Inside IR35

Fruition Group are working with a leading organisation undergoing a large-scale cloud and data platform transformation. They're looking for a Platform Engineer with strong experience across AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and modern data tooling to support the build and optimisation of cloud-native infrastructure and data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible


• Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (or similar tools)


• Work closely with data engineers to support scalable, secure data platforms in AWS


• Support and optimise Databricks workspaces and integration with Spark workloads


• Ensure platforms are secure, resilient, and highly automated


• Monitor and troubleshoot performance across cloud and data workloads


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer


• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and infrastructure as code (Terraform)


• Configuration management with Ansible


• CI/CD delivery using Jenkins (or GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)


• Commercial experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and modern data platforms


• Solid scripting experience (e.g. Bash, Python)


• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and automation best practices
