The Role
The successful candidate will have a consultative and methodical approach to sales, and solid experience selling complex SaaS solutions to a broad range of clients. Alongside your own proactive business development activities, you will work closely with Marketing and strive to convert qualified inbound leads by developing strong relationships with prospective customers, identifying opportunities that drive profitability, and deliver tailored solutions that address the unique needs of each client. In return, you will receive uncapped performance-based bonuses and a highly competitive commission structure.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Engage in initial & ongoing product training and develop an excellent understanding of the platform’s functionalities and outputs.
- Develop a solid understanding of the technical capabilities and limitations of the platform, including integrations, data ingestion, and reporting.
- Work closely with the marketing and internal sales team on qualifying inbound leads.
- Efficiently and effectively follow-up and convert qualified inbound leads.
- When required, proactively self-generate leads through various business development activities including networking, LinkedIn, email, etc.
- Continuously strive to build robust and trusted working relationships with prospective clients, developing a deep understanding of their key objectives and business strategies.
- Proactively secure and promptly schedule product demonstrations with key stakeholders/decision makers.
- Conduct pre-demonstration preparation, liaising with clients to gather additional information including their goals, expected usage, measurements of success, etc.
- Lead tailored platform demonstrations, acting as a consultative advisor by promoting the potential ROI, highlighting relevant functionality/usage, and estimated outputs/deliverables.
- Develop & present bespoke solution proposals to clients, ensuring all discussed needs are met, closing deals.
- Consistently record all activity/communication on the internal CRM, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and transition to the Customer Success/Implementation teams.
- 5-10 years’ experience in a proactive, consultative, solution Sales Consultant/Specialist role or similar is essential.
- Previous experience selling CRM systems, Marketing Automation platforms, Data Management/Analytics software or similar is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of sales methodologies and experience in applying them to complex solution sales cycles, resulting in successful outcomes.
- Self-motivated and positive character, with a results-oriented mindset and track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
- Technically competent, with experience using internal CRM systems and AI/Automation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Natural ability to influence key-stakeholders, and confidence in negation & presenting.
