Senior Business Analyst – Data Focus

Location: Leeds (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £70,000 + Benefits

About the Role

A leading digital consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in data to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful digital transformation programmes across both public and private sector clients.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in multidisciplinary teams, helping shape data-driven services and solutions that make a genuine impact. You’ll lead workshops, engage with stakeholders at all levels, and bring clarity to complex business and data requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and map current data landscapes, offering clear, actionable recommendations


• Lead collaborative sessions with stakeholders to define goals and solutions


• Define and communicate data and business requirements, working closely with engineers and architects


• Support teams in understanding key data principles, frameworks, and governance


• Translate insights into meaningful actions, helping guide product and delivery teams


• Prioritise work using Agile methodologies and contribute to product backlogs


• Mentor team members and support their growth


• Contribute to the internal Business Analyst community and help shape best practices

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in business analysis, ideally within Agile, multidisciplinary teams


• Strong background in data analysis, modelling, and understanding of GDPR/data governance


• Ability to work with APIs, system integrations, and data platforms


• Skilled at engaging stakeholders and facilitating workshops


• Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex data concepts clearly


• Confident working with both technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable

• Experience setting data quality rules or supporting data architecture planning


• Familiarity with data access frameworks, systems connectivity, and security protocols


• Experience in the public sector or within education
